Olympic Subsea sheds 1999-built platform supplier

Norway-based vessel operator Olympic Subsea has sold and delivered one of its platform supply vessels (PSVs).

Olympic said on Wednesday that it sold and delivered its Olympic Princess PSV to a new owner on Tuesday, October 16.

The company added that the sale of the vessel would have an immaterial effect on the result in the third quarter of 2018.

According to information from the company's website, the Olympic Princess is a multipurpose offshore vessel with diesel-electric propulsion and low fuel consumption.

It was built in 1999 by Brattvaag Skipsverft AS in Norway. The vessel is of a MT 6000 design, with a cargo deck of 912 square kilometers and has 3,424 of gross tonnage. The Princess is 83.7 meters long, 19.7 meters wide, 4,159 dwt, and can accommodate 50 persons.
