Trelleborg will showcase its portfolio of high performance tooling materials at composites engineering show 2013

Trelleborg Group's Advanced Engineering Materials (AEM) operations, leading global manufacturer of high performance tooling materials for aerospace, industrial and subsea markets, will showcase its comprehensive suite of high performance tooling materials and solutions at this year's Composites Engineering Show, Birmingham, England, from November 12 - 13.

On stand D191 will be a number of Trelleborg's tooling board solutions, improved high temperature adhesives and colour pastes, as well as the recently launched mould and tool sealer, ES930.

Trelleborg's ES930 high gloss mould and tool sealer has been specially formulated to seal all types of highly porous substrates, especially the company's own range of epoxy tooling boards. The moisture cure system with a high solids content, ensures that a high gloss surface finish can be achieved following either a simple 'wipe-on' or spray application. With a low odour and a quick cure, the easily applied solution offers superior sealing capability.

Also being shown is EP700 tooling board, the latest addition to the range of epoxy boards. A medium temperature, low density syntactic epoxy tooling board designed for the manufacture of accurate and stable master models. Offering excellent dimensional stability, low coefficient of thermal expansion and a suitability for use up to 130C / 266F, the board can be used for master models, light weight coring materials and lay-up tools for low and medium temperature curing epoxy pre-pregs.

Business Group Manager – Aerospace and Industrial within Trelleborg Offshore and Construction, Chris Mellings said: “Trelleborg works hard to continuously innovate and produce solutions which meet stringent customer and industry requirements. Our latest product developments in tooling board and sealant have been fully tested to give optimal performance and the assurance that they will always perform under high pressure.

“As a result of Trelleborg's core competencies and unique combination of global manufacturing capabilities and material science, the company has been chosen to provide material solutions for projects in many cutting edge areas that range from the deepest oceans to outer space.”

Composites Engineering is the UK's only dedicated composite materials, design and processing event. Hosted as part of the Advanced Engineering UK 2013 group of events, the Composites Engineering Show represents the UK's annual trade show for the very latest in composites materials, moulding and processing equipment, trade processors and fabricators, design, simulation, test and automation partners.
