Polarcus set for Zenaide seismic survey in Australia

Seismic player Polarcus has secured high industry prefunding for a seismic survey project offshore Australia.

The company on Friday said that the prefunding was for 'Zenaide' multi-client broadband 3D marine seismic project in the Bonaparte Basin

The project is scheduled to start in Q4 2017 and will run for approximately six weeks.

Polarcus did not share any more info on the survey in its statement on Friday. However, according to the activity plan given to Australia operators in September, the company said the acquisition area covers an area of approximately 3,300 square kilometers.

It is located within the western Joseph Bonaparte Gulf of the Bonaparte Basin (title block WA-522-P) and is 60 km from the mainland coast in water depths of approximately 59 meters – 97 meters.
