The property is under construction and will contain about 32,000 square meters of office and common-area space on completion. Aker Solutions already has long-term leases for two nearby office buildings, including its main office. The company may extend the rental period for the new building by as many as 10 years.

Aker Solutions will lease the building from Fornebuporten AS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aker ASA, which indirectly owns about 40 percent of Aker Solutions. Aker Solutions has handled the rental agreement as a related-party transaction because of Aker ASA's ownership interests in Fornebuporten and Aker Solutions.
